Ashley & Jim | Spruce Mountain Ranch

When these pictures found my inbox, I couldn’t stop smiling! Ashley and Jim were full of joy this day and it shows in every picture. My heart swells! Wishing them a lifetime of love, laughter, joy and blessings! The weather was the most challenging I have ever dealt with, and Ashley was so gracious under the limitations. There is a large hanging armature at Spruce Mountain, that I was suppose to attach draping, greenery and flowers to, but the wind, lightening, rain, and hail, made it extremely limiting. I know the ceremony didn’t come out exactly the way she was hoping, and I wish I could’ve fully brought her vision to life, but I’m thankful for her understanding and flexibility. Sometimes Colorado weather is a beast. On a side note though, I’m glad I had recently purchased a new Patagonia jumpsuit that just happened to be water resistant- BEST.PURCHASE.EVER! My hair on the other hand was not water resistant-haha! Thank you to the talented Rene Tate for the beautiful pictures! Ashley looked absolutely beautiful. I loved creating her bouquet with white peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, tweedia, hellebores, lavender, blueberry stems, dusty miller, and mixed eucalyptus. I used silk ribbon from Honey Silks & Co. The ceremony had a beautiful cross made by Anna’s Custom Pews. They are so talented and create beautiful pieces. For the reception, we had two different designs. Some tables had a gold pedestal vase with a beautiful centerpiece of peonies, roses, tweedia, hellebores, lisianthus, and mixed foliage. The other tables had delicate glass vases with mixed flowers. Each napkin had a rose and delphinium bloom.
